Nina Petrivna resides in Zhytomyr with her family. When her son, Vitaliy Shvydchenko, volunteers for the front to defend his country, circumstances take a heartbreaking turn as he is taken prisoner.

Faced with the harsh reality that the only chance to retrieve her child is to embark on a perilous journey herself, Nina Petrivna must traverse through towns and villages, navigate checkpoints, and confront local authorities and the enemy. Her mission is singular: to determine the fate of her child and discover if he is still alive.
